Trimix, Intermediate Trimix and Advanced Trimix

These are four day course’s, for which the prerequisites are Extended Range or Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures, with the Trimix course we teach you the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for using oxygen/helium/nitrogen mixes as a breathing gas, and perform staged decompression using EANx mixtures to 100% oxygen. For most divers this is the pinnacle of their training.

The course covers the normoxic use of trimix containing down to 18% oxygen, with unlimited % of He. down to 60msw. You will dive to within 3msw of the qualification depth.

Intermediate Trimix is building on your existing Trimix skills and experience, making greater use of travel gases, with the qualification to 75msw.

Advanced Trimix, qualifying the diver down to 100msw is available for those who have the experience, and in addition, is at our instructor’s discretion. We do not run advanced trimix courses at inland dive sites !

Includes: Trimix Manual & Certification or Advanced Trimix Manual & Certification. It excludes gas, you should budget for about £100. It also excludes site fees.

 

Pre-requisites:

Trimix: Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures or equivalent, 100 logged dives, of which 25 must be deeper than 30 msw. Minimum 18 years of age.

Advanced Trimix: Extended Range, Trimix or intermediate Trimix or equivalent, 100 logged dives, of which 25 must be deeper than 30 msw. Minimum 18 years of age, and, at the discretion of the instructor.

Cost: £520 for either course + cost of 4 days boat diving for Advanced Trimix.
